How to rent a house
- Select the address or addresses your group would like to view.
- Contact Kiel Mcadam at Ikmcadam72@gmail.com or (252) 341-8331. Provide the address your group would like to view. Kiel will contact you to verify the home is available.
- If the home is available your group will need to provide Kiel with a day and time all individuals interested in the home can attend the viewing. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES MUST ATTEND THE SAME SHOWING.
- Once the showing appointment is scheduled, all parties will meet at the home for the viewing.
- If your group would like to rent the home, each person planning to live in the house will need to complete an application. The group should email Kiel all applications in one email. Please don’t forget to include the address you are applying for in the subject line.
- Once applications have been reviewed and approved, each person must pay a $35 application fee. The individual $35 application fees must be submitted in check or money order form. The check or money order must be made out to “Kiel McAdam”.
- After application fees have been received, Mr. Mcadam will email a copy of the lease agreement for all parties to review. Please read your lease carefully and ask questions if clarity is needed before signing. Once everyone has reviewed and is comfortable with the agreement; the document will then be executed via DocuSign.
- Once all tenants have signed the lease agreement, the group will need to provide a security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent. This time, your check or money order should be made out to “Mcadam Realty”.
- Once the security deposit has been received, Kiel will sign the lease agreement. At that time all parties will receive a signed copy of the lease agreement. It will serve you to keep your copy of the agreement so you can reference your tenant responsibilities and the services offered by McAdam Realty.
